Centre Gives 2024 Library Action Plan
Welcome to the place to learn how to best support our libraries during Centre Gives, Centre Foundation's 36-hour online giving event set to begin on May 8 at 8 am and conclude on May 9 at 8 pm. This event is designed to support the great work of local nonprofits serving Centre County. Explore the options below to see how you might like to support our fundraising efforts from May 8th-9th.
Give Monetarily
Donate at least $10 to Centre County Library & Historical Museum on CentreGives.org (button below). Every donation counts, especially because the top 5 organizations with the most unique donors get a prize.
If you are able: please donate between 7-8PM on Wednesday, May 8th. If we have more donors within that hour than any other large organization, we earn a $500 prize!
For those who really love the cash prizes: try to win a giving time based prize for Centre County Library & Historical Museum or one of our Friends groups. Click the button below to check out the different prizes that Centre Foundation will award this year.

Tell Your Friends
Post on social media about how you are supporting the Centre County Library & Historical Museum during Centre Gives. You can find sample graphics and text for those posts on the right.

Participate in the #IGiveWhereILive Social Media Prize
Between April 17 and May 7, 2024, post your “I Give Where I Live” selfie or photo on your Facebook and/or Instagram and tell everyone which participating organization you would give $1,000 to and why. Use the hashtags #CentreGives and #IGiveWhereILive so the Centre Foundation can find your post! All participating organizations who have a submission posted on social media in their name between April 17 and May 7 will be entered to win the randomly-selected $1,000 #IGiveWhereILive Prize.
Attend Centre Fest
On Thursday, May 9th from 5-8 PM, Centre Foundation holds a party in Talleyrand Park, including music, food, and activities from nonprofits participating in Centre Gives. This year, our organization will have a table at Centre Fest! More prizes for nonprofits are associated with this event. They are awarded every half-hour to whatever nonprofit gets the most votes from the party attendees. So, go and cast your vote for the Centre County Library & Historical Museum and visit us at our table. We would love to say hi!
Rinse and Repeat for the Library Friends Groups!
Each of our locations has a designated Library Friends group, or a group of volunteers that raises money for and otherwise helps a specific library. For our libraries, the Bellefonte Library Friends support the Bellefonte Library, Partnership for Penns Valley Library Services supports the Centre Hall Area Branch Library, and the Friends of the Holt Memorial Library support the Holt Memorial Library. Each group is participating in Centre Gives and giving your support to any of them will benefit Centre County Library & Historical Museum as a whole.
