Part-Time Library Assistant — Holt Memorial Library

The Holt Memorial Library in Philipsburg is looking for an enthusiastic, customer service oriented person to join our team as a Part-Time Library Assistant. This 12 hour per week position offers regularly scheduled shifts; which includes both day and evening hours and rotating Saturdays : Salary starts at $10.50/hour with an increase after the first 6 months. Physical abilities: handle, lift, or move library materials weighing up to 30 lbs; stand at a computer terminal; and stand, sit, walk, stoop or reach within a confined area. 

While the library is often quiet, it is a public space where programs are held and can become loud.

All library positions require the following criminal background and child abuse clearances: Report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP); Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse); and Fingerprint based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI). These are the employee’s responsibility and required within 30 days of your start date.
