Visiting the Pennsylvania Room
The Pennsylvania Room is free to use and open to the public. It is located in the historic Miles-Humes House in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. If you plan to travel from out of town to visit the Pennsylvania Room, we highly recommend calling or emailing in advance to confirm our opening hours, as they change for special events.
Free wireless internet is available in the Pennsylvania Room, as is one public computer. A laptop may be borrowed with 24 hours’ advance notice.
Parking is available on the street nearby at parking meters which take change. Please do not park in the private parking lot next to the library as you may be towed.
There is no fee to conduct research at the Pennsylvania Room.
Copies or printing are 20 cents per page for black and white, and 50 cents per page for color. The cost to scan, to make an electronic copy from microfilm, or to take photos of items is a $3.00 flat fee.
Copying sections of books is 25 cents per page, and library staff must be consulted prior to copying entire sections.
Some fees apply to research done by the staff: please visit our Research Services page for more information on services and costs. Patrons on-site pay only for any photocopies that they make. Laptops and scanning devices are permitted; WiFi is available in the building.
