10 Reasons to Register Yourself and Your Family Members for the Summer Library Pursuit |
|

|
The library's Summer Library Pursuit (SLP) is starting this month and registration is just around the corner! But why should you and your family sign up to participate? - The Summer Library Pursuit is designed to be inclusive and rewarding for EVERYONE. Kids, adults, and even people who struggle with or dislike reading should all be able to have fun and take something positive away from the program.
- Registering for the Summer Library Pursuit is 100% FREE and will lead to free stuff (like your very own artist journal to track your program progress inside!)
- You'll have the chance to win prizes! These prizes range from crafting kits and squish mallows to YMCA memberships.
- The Summer Library Pursuit encourages and rewards you for trying new things and stepping out of your comfort zone. Do you want to try a new movie or book genre? Do you want to learn about and try more activities available in the community? The Summer Library Pursuit will give you the tools to do those things and once you do them, you'll earn tickets to win prizes!
- You'll learn more about what the library has to offer you and your family. Library staff purposely incorporate different parts of the library into the summer activities to give you an introduction to library resources and services that you may not have noticed before.
- Kids will be protected from experiencing the "summer slide" or loss of academic skills and knowledge that students often experience over summer break.
- Parents and grandparents can model a clear love of the library, reading, and learning for their children and grandchildren.
- You'll have the opportunity to attend more exciting library events than any other time of year!
- You can access supplies and instructions for a wide variety of crafts via library programming and take-and-make craft kits offered throughout the summer.
- Our libraries are better decorated and have more exciting displays than any other time of year. Register and have a reason to experience that awesome environment more often!
The summer reading atmosphere at our locations is guaranteed to make you smile June-August when you visit. We invite you to register for the Summer Library Pursuit and experience everything the library has to offer you during the magical upcoming weeks of our summer program. | | Want to stay up to date with Summer Library Pursuit events and activities? |
